Ingredients
- Dill pickle chips or slices, drained and patted very dry
- All purpose flour
- Eggs
- Panko breadcrumbs
- Cornmeal (optional)
- Garlic powder
- Onion powder
- Paprika
- Black pepper
- Pinch of salt
- Cooking spray or oil mister
- Dip (Ranch, chipotle mayo, or a mix of mayo, Greek yogurt, lemon juice, and hot sauce)
Instructions
- Dry the pickle slices well using paper towels.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F for a few minutes.
- Set up three shallow bowls: one with flour mixed with a pinch of salt and pepper, one with whisked eggs, and one with panko, cornmeal, and seasonings.
- Coat each pickle slice in flour, then egg, and finally press into the panko mixture to coat evenly.
- Mist the air fryer basket with oil and arrange pickles in a single layer, leaving space between them.
- Air fry at 400°F for 7 to 9 minutes, flipping halfway through and spritzing with oil if needed.
- Let the pickles cool for a minute before serving with your choice of dip.
Notes
For added flavor, consider mixing in cayenne in the breading or adding grated parmesan to the panko. Adjust salt in the breading based on the saltiness of your pickles.
